at sykart indoor racing center, we are dedicated to providing a competitive racing experience for both children and adults. we have taken it upon ourselves to use our experience to cultivate our racing passion within the younger minds among us. part of that responsibility means educating children on the rules of racing and driving ability to ensure that they can race in a safe environment while having a positive learning experience.

DRIVERS MUST BE AT LEAST 8 YEARS OLD AND ABOVE

SLOTS ARE PAID & RESERVED IN ADVANCE

  • Contact our facility to reserve (503) 684-5060. Dates are posted on our online calendar.

PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY

  • Classes start promptly at 10 AM and require students to attend the whole class.

HOW the class WORKS:

10-15 minutes instruction on driver safety and expectations, track rules, and (most importantly!) basic kart control.

TWO FOLLOW THE LEADER SESSIONS

Our instructor will lead the way, demonstrating the racing line and identifying and correcting any bad driving habits. Instructions will be given throughout the class as needed for all participants.

ONE STUDENTS-ONLY RACE

For the final segment, students will be directed out onto the track, where our instructors will signal the start of a student-only open race session. Once the race has begun, the instructors will test the students' abilities to pass, take turns safely, and adhere to the flags of our track.

Upon completion of the class, all students will be made full Sykart members! This includes member discounts on race bundles and a free 10 minute race within a week of the member’s birthday.

INTERESTED IN A MORE ADVANCED COURSE?

Check out our advanced driving school classes for drivers aged 16 and up. Hosted on the last Thursday of every month, learn from seasoned drivers about the nuances of competitive racing. All class participants will receive 3 qualifying times towards 9HP kart qualifications and a Sykart membership. Find more information about 9HP karts in our 'ABOUT' section.
